Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 classes:
While our weekend classes cover a selection of advanced topics beyond school curriculum, including solving olympiad-style problems, the after-school classes largely mirror the school curriculum making emphasis on important mathematical ideas behind standard topics.
Some children find school mathematics uninspiring because it lacks meaning, with the scale of its practical use not being apparent. Others feel it lacks depth. We believe that our approach brings both meaning and depth to traditional school curriculum topics, invigorating students’ interest in mathematics and developing their confidence in using it.
For each topic we set up stimulating tasks in which important mathematical ideas arise naturally during problem solving. When later applied in a variety of different contexts, these ideas are reviewed, updated and generalised, thus becoming powerful tools for solving more challenging problems.
Oxbridge Exam Preparation classes:
Oxbridge entrance is about using Maths in "novel and unfamiliar ways", as required by current Oxbridge standards, plus an immense amount of practical problem-solving. In setting this style of exam, Oxford and Cambridge are seeking to determine which of their applicants are ‘real’ mathematicians, who think far beyond the often computational nature of maths A level. On our courses, pupils will be tackling Oxbridge questions, understanding how to solve these difficult but exciting problems and preparing for the exam.
At first, the main focus will be A-level exam itself, providing the students with an appropriate number of practical assignments. Then, we will look at the MAT and TMUA, with some attention to STEP towards the end of the course.

The discount does not apply to whichever child has the highest fee spend, but does apply to siblings with an equal or lower fee spend.
