Here is a list of Olympiads, Competitions and other Events we are organising in 2020-2021

We think the concept of competition in academic subjects is every bit as important as it is in sport. This is why we are great believers in holding Maths Battles and Coding Challenges where teams from within our school, or between us and other schools compete to demonstrate their skills. 

Autumn Term 2020

  • 20-28 September 2020: International Mathematical Olympiad (ONLINE)
  • 23 October 2020: LondonSMP Data Science Webinar, for ages 16-18 (ONLINE)
  • 25 October 2020: Tournament of Towns International Maths Olympiad, Basic level, for ages 13-18 (ONLINE)
  • 1 November 2020: Tournament of Towns International Maths Olympiad, Advanced level, for ages 13-18 (ONLINE)
  • 7 December 2020: LondonSMP talk ‘Why Study Mathematics?’, for children over the age of 11, their parents and teachers  (ONLINE)
  • 20 December 2020: LondonSMP Open Christmas Chess Tournament (ONLINE)

  • 20 June 2021: British Programming Challenge, Finals, for children in Years 6-11 ( 37 High Street Kensington, W8 5ED)
  • June 2021: Robotics Triathlon as part of the UK Robotics Week, for ages 7-18 (37 High Street Kensington, W8 5ED)
  • 27 June 2021: My First Chess Tournament for Years 1 and 2 (37 High Street Kensington, W8 5ED)
  • 4 July 2021: LondonSMP Open Summer Chess Tournament (ONLINE)

    • 30-31 January 2021: The Perse Coding Team Challenge at LondonSMP
    • 28 February 2021: Tournament of Towns International Maths Olympiad, Basic level, for ages 13-18 (ONLINE)
    • 14 March 2021: Tournament of Towns International Maths Olympiad, Advanced level, for ages 13-18 (ONLINE)
    • April 2021:  LondonSMP Open Easter Chess Tournament (ONLINE)
