Open Day

Dear Parents,

We’re delighted to invite you to join us for an OPEN DAY at our school in South Kensington.

When: Sunday 29 May

10.00 - 12.50: presentations, Q&A and demonstration lessons for parents and children, or
13.00 - 15.40: presentations and Q&A for parents only - see schedule below

Where: Baden Powell House at 65 Queensgate, SW7 5JS

The day is designed for parents and children who are new to LondonSMP and current parents whose children are considering taking up additional subjects. A separate meeting will be held at the end of the Summer term for current parents to see their children’s teachers.

Teachers and registrars from all our schools, including South Kensington, Hampstead, Wimbledon and Online, will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your child’s development and interests.

Parents can hear from the heads of departments either in the morning or the afternoon at the times below (please note that some sessions are for both parents and children):
10.00 - 10.10: Arrivals and checking children in for activities
10.10 - 10.25: Welcome to LondonSMP
10.30 - 10.50: Maths and Logic classes for Reception to Year 3
10.50 - 11.20: Robotics Showcase for Years 6-11 (parents and children)
10.55 - 11.15: Maths Circles and Curriculum Maths for Years 4-6
11.20 - 12.00: Maths Circles for Years 7-9 (parents and children)
12.10 - 12.50: Maths Circles and Preparation for GCSE, A-levels and Oxbridge entrance for Years 10-12 (parents and children)
12.10 - 12.50: Robotics Showcase for Years 4-6 (parents and children)

13.50 - 14.10: Maths and Logic classes for Reception to Year 3

Mathematics, Coding and Robotics activities will be on offer for your child to try as follows (please note that some sessions are for both parents and children):
Maths Games (Reception to Year 3, children only): 10.00 - 11.00 or 11.00 - 12.00
Coding Club (Reception to Year 3, children only): 10.00 - 11.00 or 11.00 - 12.00

Puzzle Challenge (Years 4-6, children only): 10.00 - 11.00
Maths Games (Years 4-6, children only): 11.00 - 12.00
Robotics Showcase (Years 4-6, children with parents): 12.10 - 12.50

Processing Programming Masterclass (Years 7-9, children only): 10.00 - 10.45
Robotics Showcase (Years 6-11, children and parents): 10.50 - 11.20
Maths Circle Masterclass (Years 7-9, children and parents): 11.20 - 12.00

Maths Circle Masterclass (Years 10-12, children and parents): 12.10 - 12.50
